About Us

- Mission Statement -

"Revitalizing homes, neighborhoods & lives through preservation, education and community involvement."

Founded in 1992, Revitalize CDC performs critical repairs, modifications and rehabilitation on the homes and non-profit facilities of low-income families with children, the elderly, military veterans and people with special needs.

We leverage the investments of donors, grantors and volunteers to make significant home repairs that stabilize neighborhoods, strengthen the tax base, and allow elderly homeowners to "age in place."

In the last year we've rebuilt 76 homes across Springfield and Holyoke, including one #GreenNFit Neighborhood Rebuild that included one nonprofit, 9 vacant lots, one community garden and for at-risk students on Alden Street with 120+ supporters and 1,200 volunteers.

The second #GreenNFit Neighborhood Rebuild was held on Beacon Avenue Neighborhood of Holyoke. A total of 3 homes, one park, one school with the help of 30+ supporters and 300 volunteers.

The Green & Healthy Homes Pilot Project completed and expanded into a full-time program with Baystate Health's Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department, Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts, Pioneer Valley Asthma Coalition.   Our two licensed and certified Healthy Homes Assessors completed assessments and interventions on 57 homes and rental units to eliminate asthma triggers for children and adults suffering from asthma.

Thanks to our supporters and volunteers, we made neighborhood revitalization a reality!
