Mission & Strategic Vision
Revitalize Community Development Corporation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for vulnerable residents across Massachusetts. The organization's mission is to revitalize homes and neighborhoods while improving the health and well-being of low-income families with children, older adults, military veterans, and individuals with disabilities through home preservation, healthy homes, nutrition, digital equity, education, and community engagement. Guided by a vision to create healthier, safer, and more resilient communities, Revitalize CDC works to ensure that every individual and family has access to safe housing, nutritious food, digital resources, and the support needed to thrive.
Brief History and Evolution
Founded in 1992, Revitalize CDC is a Massachusetts-certified Community Development Corporation that has spent 34 years investing in healthier homes, stronger neighborhoods, and healthier families by addressing the social drivers of health. The organization's work originally began with providing critical home repairs for low-income homeowners. Over the decades, this focused effort expanded into a comprehensive, integrated community health model that bridges the gap between housing, healthcare, nutrition, digital equity, and education. Today, Revitalize CDC collaborates directly with healthcare providers, municipalities, community organizations, and funders. These collaborative partnerships allow the organization to run innovative programs that improve patient health outcomes while successfully lowering healthcare costs.
By combining home preservation (critical repairs and weatherization), environmental "healthy home" assessments (remediating mold, lead, and asthma triggers), clinical nutrition supports (Nutrition Rx), and digital navigation, Revitalize CDC addresses the root causes of systemic health and economic disparities. Since its founding in 1992, Revitalize CDC has achieved the following milestones:

More than $58 million invested directly into Massachusetts communities.

In the past year alone, the organization supported 940 families (representing 2,369 individuals).
Additionally, Revitalize CDC maintains a Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency (2021–2026), with approximately 95% of every dollar donated directly supporting its program services. It is also certified as a Woman Nonprofit Organization (W/NPO) by the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office.​​​
